As part of our 40 Days lent experiment at NCC, I’ve decided to do a Jewish fast on Wednesdays. The idea is that you fast breakfast and lunch and break the fast at sundown.
Hasler, my favorite assistant discipleship pastor, just brought a cookie into my office. Cookies are my weakness; I love cookies. After a moment of me awkwardly and longingly looking at the cookie, John remembered my fast. I said, “not till sundown.” He looked out the window and said, “It’s looking pretty dark to me!” Yeah– that’s called precipitation.
