For One.

Every week, I’m amazed at the work that God is doing in our discipleship and small group ministries.  I think we could have Scorecard every day and not be able to mention everything that God is doing.

Here are some of mine:

  • Upward Bound- oh my goodness!  UB2007 was one of the best retreat experiences I’ve ever had.  I think a lot of us are still trying to process what God did in our lives there.  Looking forward to UB2008!
  •  Eowyn Ruth McClure- gotta throw in a little personal win.  My sister had her baby this week!
  • Friday Prayer- we are starting a two month experiment at NCC this morning– Friday morning prayer.  Some of the staff will be getting together before work to pray for one another, our church, our city, etc.

What’s God doing in your life/group?

  1. Well this is more of a personal win, but it impacts my group.
A few nights ago my 8 mo. old started sleeping through the night as opposed to waking consistently every 3 hours to eat…So now every morning I have a fresh mind and can spend about an hour in the morning with God (and coffee) before my children wake up. This is very precious and productive time as there is no phone ringing, no kids crying, etc, and I am able to prepare the lesson for my small group every week. Such a praise!

  2. The discussions in our women’s Crown group seem to get better & better each week. I can really see these women embracing a new perspective on each area of finance that we cover…and God is proving faithful as the praise reports during prayer requests keep coming in! =)

  3. this just came up here at the office-

on wed. nite at the living room, we got to try and explain why paul is talking about circumcision in galatians 5.

    nowwwwww we’re getting somewhere.

  4. Carmel, my Journey co-leader, has bravely taken the reigns in my absence. She’s doing a fantastic job, and really helping to build community in our group! She’s been an answer to prayers for me, personally. I am so thankful for her and her willingness to step up!
