- Crown Financial Presents: Home Buying Seminar- Monday, August 27, 7pm, Ebenezers- Peggie Shiei, a private mortgage banker with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, will dispel the five common myths of home buying and give you the five reasons why homeowners build wealth and renters don’t. RSVP to Katlyn. Snacks and drinks will be provided and a free credit report for each participant with a signed consent form.
- Annual Couples Retreat- September 1-3, Outer Banks, NC- All married couples are invited for the annual Labor Day weekend retreat in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Join us for worship, food, and fun. We will rent 1-2 large houses near the beach, and the cost is $250 per couple. The deadline is Monday, August 20. Contact Trish for more information. - NW Launch Team- If you’re interested in being a part of the Georgetown Launch Team or just looking for information, email Pastor Dave.
- Richmond Missions Project- September 6-9- We will travel to Richmond to help launch a new church in the Ashland community and assist the efforts of the planting pastor, Josh Karrer, formerly of NCC. Email Chris for more information.
- Living Waters- Applications are currently being accepted for Living Waters, a 33-week support program for men and women struggling with sexual and relational brokenness (heterosexual/homosexual issues, addictions, emotional dependencies, abuse, etc.). The deadline is September 7. Please call (703) 591-HOPE for more information or an application. All inquiries are confidential.
- Child-minders Needed- The NCC Moms small group needs child-minders to work in the nursery (ages 3 and under) at their fall semester Bible study, every other Wednesday from 10am-12noon at 6th and G Streets NE. A background check is required. Email Anna Martin to help out.
- Hiring at Ebenezers- If you’re interested in working at the coffeehouse, download an application online and bring it to the shop (2nd and F Streets NE). Email Michelle for more information.

RANDOM THOUGHT
- Who came up with the name “Vacation Bible School?” Can vacation and school be listed in the same phrase? Is anyone every really attracted to the idea of going to school during vacation (besides the parents)?
