RANDOM SIDE STORY
On Saturday night, I purchased a #6 road-gray Washington Nationals jersey for only $10! It was only $10 because Jose Guillen now plays for Dex’s Seattle Mariners. But I had the bright idea to buy the jersey and remove the “GUILLEN” from the back, leaving me with a somewhat generic, and timeless, #6 Nationals jersey. My wise wife warned that taking out all the stitching would take “forever,” but I proceeded with the plan.
We got home and I jumped into my jersey restoration project. After about 90 minutes of joint work by Heather and me, we managed to remove the “G.” Unfortunately, you could still see the faint outline of the letter on the jersey as my grand dreams were fading quickly.
So, I sat on our love seat, staring at my one-of-a-kind #6 “UILLEN” jersey, plotting my plan of attack. After a good 15 minutes, I decided I’m taking the jersey to our friendly neighborhood dry cleaners (and seamstress) and asking them to sew the “G” back on the jersey. Then I’ll have a throw-back to the Nationals inaugural season.
What’s the moral of the story? Guys, unless you know somebody named “UILLEN” who wore #6 for the Nationals, listen to your wives when it comes to sewing.
Great story, Nathan!
ha ha ha!!!

I don’t know much about sewing, but as a short person who often has to shorten pants, I know a thing or two about ripping out stitches.
I’m glad to hear that you will now take my sewing advice more seriously.

Most excellent story ONZALES!
One important fact you left out about the Seattle Mariners, they beat your Oakland A’s on opening day, thereby positioning themselves for the 162-0 season.

The moral of the story for single guys is: Don’t buy clothes you have to sew or tailor yourself.
