“Paul greeted them and reported in detail what God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry. When they heard this, they praised God.” Acts 21:19-20

I forgot to post Friday Scorecard last week, so you’ve got two weeks worth of wins, reflections, and thoughts today. I’ve got a couple wins. First, there are 25 people going to Kenya! WOW!! I am so excited about this trip. Secondly, we ordered our tickets for Godspell earlier this week, and they will go on sale at NCC next weekend (March 10-11). This thing is really going to happen!

What are your wins? What things are working well in your group? What things could work better?

  1. I was able to meet up with NCCers interested in helping begin adult ESL classes in Arlington. We have a great core group of people who are excited about starting an ESL Beginner class! The HUGE WIN for us this week is that we were granted permission to use the Lubber Run Community Center in Arlington (just a couple blocks from Ballston theaters)…free of charge!!! This is an answer to many prayers!

  2. YEA!!! That’s awesome Leslie.

We had a small, small group this week, but had some great conversation about Daniel led by one of our group members.

  3. Though I am not currently leading a group, I would like to share some win-esque thoughts from Godspell.

The cast and creative team of Godspell has become a tight knit community born yes out of common interest initially in this crazy (in a good way) idea we had to stage a musical but now its so much more than that. We are on a mission…each of us plays a role, some literally on stage, some behind, but all still stepping into this amazing opportunity… to deliver this message in a way that will move, challenge, convict and encourage…and in this process have been stretched in ways that I don’t think any of us ever could have expected or planned for. God is so good and we are experiencing aspects of him that I know I for one, have never experienced before.

  4. Leslie -

How exciting! An answer to prayer indeed! Now we can pray for the neighborhood people who will attend the classes…that they will learn alot more than just English by being with you all. ;-)

  5. Kacey–if directing Godspell isn’t leading a group, then I don’t know what is!

Leslie– great news about ESL! I love it when people chase their God-given passions!

  6. Thanks for your prayers for the students, Kacey - we need them (students and prayers ;)!!)!

Can’t wait to see Godspell! I’m praying for you all because I know it’s down to “crunch-time”.

  7. I am psyched to see Godspell too. Will there be a zonegathering pre-sale? hehe.

Our group (Chocolat for Lent) had a wonderful dinner together after a day of corporate fasting. We are slowly learning discipline and perseverance.

  8. There will be an NCC pre-sale for Godspell at weekend services March 10-11.

Okay– it seems like everyone who has commented today has been from LESLIE ADAMS’ ZONE!! So I say that Leslie Adams and her awesome leaders are wins!

Any other zone want to pitch in?

Wins for How to Hear God’s Voice:

    1) The group is even happening — thanks to Heather and the rest of the NCC leadership for being willing to let me work with y’all cross-church.

    2) Ash Wednesday service — We went to The Falls Church together last week. It was really cool to be able to worship together (since we all go to different NCC services). We also went to dinner together afterwards and got to just hang out.

    3) This past week — our first week with more members than leaders! In addition to Kevin and me, we had Phillip (Kevin’s roommate) and two Union Stationeers, Blazer (attended first week) and Juliette (new attendee!). Here’s hoping for a sixth….
