Calling all actors, singers, dancers, and comedians!
Godspell, written by Stephen Schwartz (Pippin, Wicked) and John-Michael Tebelak, tells the story of Jesus and his disciples based on the Gospel of Matthew. This is the first major musical theatre production sponsored by National Community Church, and we are looking forward to expanding the influence of the arts in our church and community.
Godspell auditions will take place at 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at Ebenezers Coffeehouse. Please arrive promptly at 6:00 pm to receive audition information and be prepared to remain at the audition for a couple of hours.
You should be prepared to participate in the following:
- Perform a song from the show. Accompaniment will be available. Choose from the following: Women: Day by Day, Bless the Lord, Turn Back O Man, We Beseech Thee, or On the Willows; Men: Prepare Ye, Save the People, All Good Gifts, All for the Best, or We Beseech Thee
- Cold reading from the script
- Improv in groups Movement in groups— one choreographed combination
- Any special talents (i.e., mime, juggling, physical comedy, musical instrument, acrobatics, etc)
