I received my copy of Sharing the Victory in the mail today. The magazine, published by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, always has cool stuff, but this month it has a huge feature article on Dave Kiehn and FCA DC.
Dave and his wife Ellen (and new daughter Elizabeth Benson) are true friends of NCC and I know Dave’s influence continues as an inspiration and mentor to many guys here.
The article is entitled “Capital Gains” and describes Dave’s day-to-day ministry, and more importantly, his heart and vision. I’ve always loved Dave’s no-nonsense compassion.
“The only one who can save these kids is Jesus. And He won’t just save them from eternal damnation, He’ll save them from their very lives.â€
I would encourage you to lift up Dave and his family in prayer as well as their ministry. If you or someone in your group is interested in helping out with FCA DC, I’m sure Dave wouldn’t mind if you dropped him a line.
