One.
Be One.
Make One.
For One.

It’s Thursday Leadership Lesson day, and you’ve already heard one. But this one is even better and comes directly for God himself. I’ve read this lots of times before, but it really struck me today:

Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

  1. This is one of those verses that keeps me going when facing the long dark tunnel of quantitative analysis. :) (Well, maybe it’s more of a drizzley, gray sort of place.) Anyway, somehow, knowing that whatever I’m doing, even statistics, is in some way a reflection of what Christ is doing in me makes me sit up a little straighter and approach it with a bit more of that wide-eyed wonder PM is always talking about. Thanks for bringing it to the forefront. I needed it today. :)
