We are coming to the end of Week 2 of the Summer Semester. Any wins out there?
Spiritual Experiments started yesterday, and 15 people showed up bright and early for a 7:00 am start time. It will be a good change of pace to get up a little earlier for 7 weeks and focus some attention on spiritual disciplines.
Win: people came to my small group and seemed to think it a good idea. Excellent.

good for you heather- what a morning crowd!
my win from wednesday- had an opportunity to empower some volunteers! God is moving around the union station area…
there is just a buzz on the street about ncc and what we are doing, and this is all glorifying God, not to us.

Where I do even begin?!!! First, a personal one. I was working on our win sheet at work, during a break and my boss happened to walk in. He glanced at my computer, saw the title on the page and asked what I was working on. I explained to him briefly and he said, “You know, that is wonderful. If you don’t count your wins periodically, you can really miss out on how blessed you are.”
It was just a cool conversation and a reminder for me, of how blessed I am to have really cool things to report each week.
The women’s group is fantastic! We have had powerful times of sharing prayer requests the past two weeks. Our blog is really catching on and this week, we’ve had two really good posts. Our three new ladies came back and a girl from Oklahoma contacted us wanting to join when she moves to DC this weekend!
