Next week, we are going to start a new series for Thursday Leadership Lesson on Communication. Today, I want to let you know about 3 upcoming discipleship map adventures.
THE STORY
We kick off May Term with The Story, a 3-week high speed thrill ride through the entire Bible. We will meet on Monday nights (5/15, 5/22, and 5/29) at 7:00 at Ebenezers. This is the port city on the Learner island. Encourage folks in your group to attend or bring your whole group along. Email Heather Z to sign up!
INWARD BOUND
While The Story will help you learn the saga that God is writing throughout history, Inward Bound (June 16-18 at Rocky Gap Resort) will help you learn about the story He is writing in your life and the role that you play in His-story. You will learn how God has wired you and how your spiritual DNA makes you an unique worshiper, evangelist, and disciple. You will explore your Life Trilogy- Interpreting Your Past, Understanding the Present, and Preparing for the Future. You will learn the importance of knowing the Author of your story.
There will be lots of time for personal reflection and small group sharing. And there will be plenty of free time on Saturday afternoon to enjoy the Rocky Gap amenities– tennis, volleyball, swimming, etc.
This is a great opportunity for people in your small groups. Consider coming to the retreat yourself and encourage those in your group to attend. Or bring your whole group.
Cost is $110/person/quadruple occupancy, $140/person/double occupancy, and $20/child. Cost includes lodging, retreat materials, and two meals. Space is limited. Register today by emailing Beth. Your space will be confirmed upon payment.
SPIRITUAL EXPERIMENTS
During the Summer Semester, explore the Learner island with Spiritual Experiments, a 7-week small group on spiritual disciplines. You will learn about prayerwalking, worship, intercession, fasting, and pilgrimage. Email Heather Z for more information!
