The Zone Gathering

The Online Community for the Leaders of National Community Church

One.
Be One.
Make One.
For One.

One year ago today, Nathan Gonzales put up the first post on the Zone Gathering. Today, 383 posts later, we are celebrating the first birthday of NCC’s small groups online community. When we first began, we weren’t entirely sure what we were doing. We wanted to create an environment that would support our vision, provide ongoing leadership development, and facilitate the sharing of ideas. In November 2005, we introduced our weekly lineup and began providing content to support our NCC Discipleship Strategy.

To celebrate, I thought I would look back and highlight some of the best stuff. For starters, here is a list of the most popular posts as determined by number of comments.

For first place, there is a tie between the Narnia Personality Quiz and High Level Nerd. Both generated 14 comments.

Trailing closely behind is Nathan Gonzales’ infamous Redskin Fan’s Study Guide (Part 1), which generated 12 comments.

Runner-ups include the following:

Low Level Weirdo (11 comments)
Tuesday Spotlight- HZ (11 comments)
Theological Worldview (1o comments)
Pirate Name (9 comments)
Moonpies (9 comments)

In case you missed them, make sure to read the following posts:

Servant Shepherd
Sarah’s Names of God here, here, here, and here
Gonzales Family Cross Country (not so) FunFest
Ice Breakers (the next level)
In a Pit on a Snowy Day in Florida
How To Know You’re Not a Leader
Heather’s Jerusalem Journal
Expanding Target
Preparing the Nets

Thank you for your faithful readership. And let us know if you have any ideas or things you would like to see here at Zone Gathering. We want this to be a place where you can reflect on what God is doing in your group and refuel for the calling that he has for your life as a leader.

One Comment to “Happy Birthday ZG!”

  1. Happy Birthday ZG indeed! Thanks to all of you who inspire me each day with all you have to say on the ZG. I appreciate you!
