In December, we began talking about NCC’s Discipleship Map. I wanted to give you guys a sneak peak. (Click on it to make it bigger). This map will be included in the Pass and is how we will help people navigate their spiritual journey at NCC.
The journey begins with Alpha- a practical introduction to the Christian faith that is valuable for seekers, cynics, and long-time followers of Christ.
The next stop is the outpost island Journey, where people will be outfitted and resourced for their discipleship experience. It is NCC’s version of discipleship 1o1 and it will briefly hit on the themes of Seeking, Learning, Influencing, and Investing.
Next, NCCers will be invited to explore the 4 islands of Seeker, Learner, Influencer, and Investor. During 2006, we will offer a couple of key experiences for each dimension of discipleship. And our groups will help people along the way in their day-to-day pursuits of becoming more like Christ.
I won’t spend a lot of time rehashing everything here. Instead, I would encourage you to go back and read the previous posts about the four dimensions of discipleship.
Got one word for the Discipleship Map…KOOL…VERY KOOL!!! uhhh, that’s 3 words, but I couldn’t resist. It is what it is! Can’t wait to explore and experiment!
