I think when you work around here and around Pastor Mark, the writing anointing jumps on you. When I returned from Jerusalem, I spent a lot of time mentally unpacking the experience (which is a process that is still in progress), and I did a lot of writing to help me wrap my brain and my language around the trip.
Long story short, Relevant Network published one of my pilgrimage articles in their E-Newsletter yesterday. This newsletter goes out to pastors and leaders around the world.
Big thanks to Pastor Mark and to Margaret Feinberg for mentoring me in this whole writing thing. And to my mom for teaching me to write (seriously– I had her for English for 3 years).
Congratulations Heather! Where can we find the article?

Actually, Heather, I think you would be amiss for not giving credit for your writing skills to those wonderful Murphy High School English teachers: Mrs. Smith for teaching you about journalism; Mrs. Stephenson for teaching you how to write many, many research papers and for making you learn all of those long lists of truly hard vocabulary words; and Mrs. Welborn for teaching writing skills and for instilling within you a love for great literature.
