The Zone Gathering

I just finished listening to a Willow Creek Spiritual Formation seminar. Ruth Barton said something that I loved:

“Vision without planning is daydreaming.” 

We have a lot of visionaries at NCC. In fact, I think every member of our team is a big vision-caster. Myself included. That’s why we need to start developing strategies and systems (see Blog Post on July 6 “Atheists to Missionaries”) for discipleship, assimilation, and leadership deployment. If we don’t think about and implement strategies to take us from where we are to the vision we have for the future, then we are simply daydreaming.
